Fresh injury blow for Camara

LENS defender Zoumana Camara has suffered yet another injury blow as he has to undergo a further operation.

The former Marseille stopper moved to Lens at the start of the year but has not yet played since his arrival at Felix-Bolleart due to injury.

A groin problem required surgery back in March and he had only just returned to training when the problem struck again, and will now need to go under the knife again.

Many had suggested that the French international's career could be in jeopardy even at the age of 23, but Professor Jean Jaeger, who performed his operation, says that the surgery could well keep him in football.

"Zoumana reacted well to the first treatment and first surgical operation, but he is still suffering from tendinitis in his adductors," said Jaeger.

"The first operation needs to be completed but there is no major complication.

"He will need six weeks of post operation convalescence but his career is absolutely not jeopardised, on the contrary."
