Patrick Muller has confirmed he wants to continue his career at Lyon next season.

The defender has started just eight games in Ligue 1 this term and has been linked with a summer transfer.

His former coach at Lyon - Paul Le Guen - is rumoured to want to take Muller to Paris Saint Germain at the end of the campaign.

But Muller, who has spent seven years with the French champions, insists he is happy to stay at Stade Gerland.

"They are only starting rumours," Muller told Le Progres in response to suggestions he could leave.

"I am really well in Lyon and I want to continue - it is even a challenge.

"I want to go to the end of my contract, but I must know what the club wants to do with me."

The Switzerland international's deal expires in 12 months' time and he is keen to play regularly next season to secure a place in the joint hosts' squad for Euro 2008.
