Sedan's Nadir Belhadj says he' is looking forward to playing for Lyon next season.

The 24-year-old defender will link up at the Stade Gerland at the end of the current campaign.

The midfielder, who joined Lyon in January but was immediately loaned back to Sedan, came on in the 74th minute of his side's 1-0 defeat to the champions-elect on Sunday.

"I was touched by the fans' ovation and want to thank them for having been so welcoming," Belhadj told But!

"I would have loved to have played more but the coach decided to make me start on the bench. I tried to give my best during the 15 minutes.

"I can't wait to play for Lyon because I want to progress alongside great players and prove to them that I made the right choice.

"Lyon players are stars but they are very nice. They said 'welcome home, see you next season'."
