Juninho has described Francesco Totti as 'the best number 10' in world football, ahead of Lyon's UEFA Champions League meeting with Roma.
The two clubs face off at Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday night and Juninho and Totti will be the creative counterpoints of their respective sides as they bid to reach the quarter-finals.
Whilst Lyon's Brazilian schemer is widely perceived to be the finest exponent of the free-kick arts on the globe, Juninho has now hailed Totti as also excelling in his own class.
The OL star believes Totti is the best modern manifestation of a tradition that includes such players as Ferenc Puskas, Michel Platini and Roberto Baggio.
However Juninho has also lamented that the playmaker has become a dying breed in recent years.
"Totti is a great player, on of the last number 10s remaining in football," Juninho told But.
"The way to play football today has pushed out real number 10s who make the show.
"I have a lot of admiration for him, I think he is the best number 10, but we have to be wary of all the Rome team."
