Lyon striker Pierre-Alain Frau will sign for Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday, subject to passing a medical.

The 26-year-old is expected to put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal after undergoing a medical at the Parc des Princes.

Frau will link up with former coach Guy Lacombe in Paris, who he worked with during their time at Sochaux.

Former club Lens were also interested in the Frenchman but PSG were always favourites to sign the hit-man after he revealed his desire to move to the capital.

"Both clubs have reached an agreement this morning and if the medical is okay, I will be a PSG player for the next four seasons," Frau told Lyon's official website.

"I am happy, it is my choice. The fact that Guy Lacombe is the coach has influenced me.

"I leave a big club for another big club. I leave on good terms with everybody.

"I think I will play on the wing or at the centre of attack, it depends on Guy Lacombe."

Frau's arrival will almost certainly put an end to PSG's interest in Valencia striker Marco Di Vaio, who spent last season on loan with Ligue 1 side Monaco, but FC Aarau midfielder Albert Baning should complete his move to Paris in the coming days.
