PSG clinch midfielder signing

Paris Saint Germain have completed the signing of FC Aarau's Albert Baning.

Paris Saint Germain have completed the signing of FC Aarau's Cameroon midfielder Albert Baning.

The 21-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the Parc des Princes club and PSG chairman Alain Cayzac revealed he had been a long-term target for the Ligue 1 giants.

"Baning is a very promising player," said Cayzac. "We have been following him for a long time and we consider that he has excellent potential - that's why we have signed him."

Addressing rumours concerning more possible incoming signings, Cayzac confirmed an interest in signing Lyon striker Pierre-Alain Frau and former Valencia striker Marco Di Vaio.

Sochaux's Brazilian striker Ilan is not a target, however, contrary to recent press reports.

"We are in talks with L'OL about Frau but it is just the beginning. He is a player that attracts us a lot," said Cayzac.

"People talk alot about Ilan but there has been no contact.

"Di Vaio? It is true, there have been talks but they are not at an advanced stage.

"Things could change quickly though and we are also attracted by other options."
