Lyon are eyeing Spanish winger Jaime Gavilan.
The 20-year-old has impressed hugely this term during a loan stint with Getafe.
He is now even on the verge of the Spanish squad, but despite this his future does not appear to lie at parent club Valencia.
Gavilan has spent the last two years on loan away from the club and with both Vicente and Mario Regueiro ahead of him, it looks like he could have a tough task to win a regular place at La Mestalla.
Getafe would like to keep him, but now Lyon are taking a keen interest as they look find cover for Florent Malouda.
Croat Niko Kranjcar is another option, but Gavilan appears to be most attractive proposition for Lyon.
Initial reports indicate that Valencia have rebuffed Lyon's first approach, but the French champions look set to make a renewed move in the near future.
