Lyon defender Eric Abidal was delighted to come through his first game back from injury unscathed.
The French international has been out for three months with a foot problem, but impressed on his return in the 3-1 victory over Nantes on Saturday.
He is now set to play in Lyon's UEFA Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven, a boost for manager Gerard Houllier after the recent injury crisis in defence.
"My injury has been very frustrating, but my fitness trainer told me that coming back at this moment in the season would be very good for my freshness," Abidal hoped.
"I have worked very hard to come back, but I still have to get used to playing at this level again.
"I had an operation on November 16 so to play a match at Stade de Gerland was a lot of pressure, I had to play well.
"I feel very strong and ready. God will decide if I will suffer another injury or not."
