Reports in Italy suggest that Milan will look to strengthen their defence in the summer.

In previous weeks, the Italian giants have struggled at the back and with Jaap Stam departing for Ajax and Brazilian veteran Cafu expected to leave, club officials are preparing for the future.

Milan general director Ariedo Braida was rumoured to be in France to see the match between Lyon and Bordeaux, with Brazilian sensation Cris high on Milan's shopping list.

Cris is valued at ‚é¼15-20 million, a sum that, at the moment, Milan have no intention of paying, however with the player's contract due to expire in 2008, a big enough offer may tempt the French side to sell him in the summer.

During the game, Braida also took a look at another of the Rossoneri's possible targets, Mahamadou Diarra, however it is thought that Lyon consider Diarra a vital asset and therefore would not consider selling him.
