Lyon star Florent Malouda will be sidelined until the New Year with a knee injury.
The French winger picked up slight ligament damage against PSG last week and has been advised by a specialist not to play until 2006.
Former Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord is likely to be asked to fill in for Malouda on the left flank.
Meanwhile, Lyon's Senegalese defender Lamine Diatta has had his contract at the club extended until 2008.
Diatta has struggled to break into the first team on a regular basis this season, but is looking forward to the challenge of being at a top club.
"Even though I could play more at a less famous club, I am really delighted to be staying. It is exciting that the coach trusts me so much," said Diatta.
