Champions Lyon showed no ill effects from Paul Le Guen's decision to quit the club with a thumping 5-1 victory over Bordeaux.

Two goals apiece from Cris and Sidney Govou and a strike from Florent Malouda helped Lyon to victory after they had fallen behind early on.

Bordeaux stunned the home fans after just ten minutes with Albert Riera firing the visitors in front.

Lyon fought back and drew level on 25 minutes with Malouda finding the net.

Things got worse for Bordeaux just after the half hour mark when Cyril Rool for sent off for a second bookable offence.

Brazilian defender Cris gave Lyon the lead on 34 minutes and he added a third right on the stroke of half time.

Govou got in on the scoring act on 66 minutes to put the game beyond Bordeaux and he wrapped up the victory with his second and his side's fifth six minutes from time.

The defeat means Bordeaux are still not safe from relegation with two games left of the season.
