Sochaux have confirmed talks are ongoing about the sale of Jeremy Mathieu.
The French Under-21 star, who has just over a year left on his current deal, looks set to depart Les Lionceaux after confirming his desire to leave.
Chairman Jean-Claude Plessis has confirmed talks have begun with Lyon, Marseille and Monaco about a possible deal.
"Lyon, Marseille and Monaco have behaved impeccably by contacting the club," said Plessis.
"We are in talks and we could allow him to leave."
Mathieu admitted he is ready to move on and he has his eyes on next season's UEFA Champions League.
"I want to know something new, and if possible the Champions League," he said.
"I want to improve and I have contact with three great French clubs."
