Toulouse are struggling near the foot of the table but proved more than a match for the leaders.
Sylvain Didot opened the scoring, heading home from Ludovic Clement's cross shortly after the restart.
However, Monaco rallied and Gael Givet's effort on 70 minutes secured a draw.
Vikash Dhorasoo fired Lyon ahead and it looked like they were going to close in on Monaco, but Wagneau Eloi saved a point for Lens with 20 minutes remaining.
Le Mans remain bottom having been held to a 2-2 draw by Rennes
Laurent Peyrelade netted either side of half time to put Le Mans in control, but Rennes snatched a dramatic late equaliser when Lamine Diatta hit the target.
Mario Yepes' injury time goal pinched a point for Strasbourg from their trip to Nantes who thought they had secured victory through Frederic Da Rocha's early effort.
Lille were the only team to win on Saturday, with Matt Moussilou scoring a brace in the 2-0 victory at Montpellier.
