LYON have confirmed that they have enquired about Paris Saint Germain's unsettled Brazilian star Ronaldinho.

The World Cup winner is widely expected to leave the Parc Des Princes at the end of the season after an unhappy campaign this term.

Manchester United and Italian duo Juventus and Internazionale have been strongly linked with the skilful forward and now Lyon have joined the chase for his signature.

Lyon chairman Jean-Michael Aulas revealed he had talked with Ronaldinho and incoming PSG president Francis Graille about a move, but that the capital outfit were keen to hang onto their prized asset.

"He came back from Mexico in our plane after Brazil's match in Mexico at the end of April. It was not trivial, we could talk with him. There are Brazilians at Lyon," revealed Aulas.

"I called Francis Graille and Jean-Claude Darmon, who are the most important actors in that case, to know exactly what it is all about. But Francis Graille told me it is out of the question to let Ronaldinho leave."

Meanwhile, Lyon are being linked with a move for Montpellier striker Fode Mansare.

The Guinean international is set to leave Montpellier and has attracted the interest of a host of clubs including Tottenham, Leicester and Everton.

Lyon are thought to be leading the chase for the 21-year-old forward and are believed to have already held talks with Montpellier officials about a possible move.
