NICE coach Gernot Rohr has admitted that Turkish side Fenerbahce have contacted him about becoming their new coach, but insists he is going nowhere for now.

The Turkish outfit are looking for a replacement for Werner Lorant after he was sacked, and have targeted Rohr.

Rohr took charge of the Cote D'Azur side last summer and has led the newly promoted side to the top of the table, and is still challenging with the big boys for the French title.

His performances in leading the minnows in their startling title challenge has led to interest from around Europe.

Fener have also been impressed with Nice's progress under Rohr and are looking to install him immediately as their new coach.

Rohr says that he has agreed to talk to the Turks but insists he will be staying with Nice until the end of the season before considering any move.

"It is true I have been contacted by phone," said Rohr. "The officials wanted to know the situation and they insisted on meeting me.

"We will see, to talk with people doesn't commit you to anything.

"However things are very clear. Nobody will leave during the transfer window and this resolution applies to me too.

"Moreover, I can't see me abandoning the team. It is unthinkable."

Fenerbahce are looking for an immediate appointment and may try and tempt Rohr away with a big wage deal, but he seems adamant in staying and seeing this amazing season through to its end.

Meanwhile, Nice are still looking for a forward but PSG have refused to loan Laurent Leroy, while Frederic Nee's loan move from Lyon seems unlikely, leaving Sedan's out-of-favour Cedric Mionnet as Rohr's possible target.
