Nee's knee agony

FREDERIC NEE has suffered an enormous disappointment by breaking down with another knee injury in training.

The former Bastia hit-man arrived at Lyon last summer, and only played 18 matches in Le Championnat.

During a reserve team game, he ruptured knee ligaments back in March.

Exactly six months after this major blow, he heard a loud crack on Tuesday during one of his first training sessions with the reserve team this term.

It was anticipated that Nee could return in early October.

L'OL team doctor Jean-Marcel Ferret, who also works with the national team, has been unable to confirm that the ligament has snapped again.

The 27-year-old will have numerous tests and examinations this week to discover the full extent of the injury.

Meanwhile, Lyon have handed a trial to Adam Hardy, a 13-year-old Australian already being dubbed 'the new Harry Kewell'.

Hardy will stay with the French club for a month in a bid to earn a contract.
