LYON have moved to within four points of Le Championnat leaders Lens, with a convincing 3-1 home victory over Troyes.
It was the away side who took the lead when Nicolas Gousse scored to put Troyes 1-0 ahead. Minutes later, however, French international call-up Eric Carriere levelled things for Lyon, as the sides went level into half-time.
The home side took command of the match about two minutes into the second half, when Brazilian striker Sonny Anderson (pictured) slotted home to put them in front.
Christophe Delmotte finished off the contest for Lyon, scoring a third with sixteen minutes to go and to keep the pressure on the league leaders.
Le Championnat strugglers Metz failed to climb out of trouble in the standings, having drawn 0-0 at home to Montpellier.
