Former Real Madrid man Karembeu picks #One2Eleven
Christian Karembeu enjoyed quite the footballing career.
The former French utility player won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with his country, two Champions League crowns with Real Madrid and one Ligue 1 title with his first club Nantes.
That meant Karembeu, who also had a stint with Middlesbrough in the early 2000s, teamed with some of the finest players of his generation - but who does he rate as THE finest?
The Fantasy Football Club asked the dreadlocked star that very question on the final show of the season, so read below to see who made Christian's #One2Eleven...
Goalkeeper - Fabien Barthez
CHRISTIAN SAYS: I am choosing
Fabien because he is bald but also because his actions and reactions were tremendous. All goalkeepers are crazy but he was one of the craziest ones!
Full-backs - Christian Panucci; Roberto Carlos
CHRISTIAN SAYS: Panucci could be very serious but he was also the funniest guy, probably because he is half-Czech and half-Italian.
Roberto could always score with his left foot but one of my greatest memories of him was when we were playing in Russia when it was -12 degrees and we could not speak because our jaws were blocked. We had to make noises to communicate!
Centre-backs - Marcel Desailly; Laurent Blanc
CHRISTIAN SAYS: We won the World Cup and the Euros with Marcel and Laurent at the back. With Chelsea and Milan,
Desailly was one of the best defenders, and he and Laurent were tall, elegant and could anticipate the play - but I also put
Laurent in because he would kiss Barthez's head after he scored!
Centre-midfielders - Patrick Vieira; Clarence Seedorf
CHRISTIAN SAYS: Patrick was like a big antelope with his legs but he was a rock and really exceptional, while when I played at Sampdoria with
Seedorf he was a teenager who thought like a 30-year-old and he will be a great manager.
Attacking-midfielders - Zinedine Zidane; Steve McManaman
CHRISTIAN SAYS: Zidane was exceptional and unique with the ball; it was a pity he head-kicked Marco Materazzi at the 2006 World Cup but he is a good friend and he will make a good manager. I will pick
McManaman, too, who was a great guy and got me interested in horse racing.
Strikers - Predrag Mijatovc; Eric Cantona
CHRISTIAN SAYS: Predrag was brave and clever in his game, while everyone knows about
Eric; he was a 'King' and incredible to play with for France, as were David Ginola and Jean-Pierre Papin. These strikers finish off my offensive team which I would love to have picked for a Champions League final.
