Javier Pastore is enjoying his football with PSG and is relaxed about his contract situation with the French champions.

The Argentina ace switched to the Ligue 1 outfit in a big-money move from Serie A side Palermo in 2011 and still has two years left on his contract.

The 25-year-old was linked with a summer move to Juventus and Real Madrid but he is relaxed about his future.

I don’t need to sign any paper sheet to stay here at PSG. And the chairman knows it is not my style to leave the club as free agent

In comments reported by L’Equipe, Pastore is quoted as saying: “My contract? I have had no talks with the club to prolong it.

“Last year, officials spoke about such a possibility, but to me, my commitment to the club doesn’t depend on contract matter.

“I still have two years remaining on my contract. I trust the chairman and he has my word.

“I don’t need to sign any paper sheet to stay here. And he knows it is not my style to leave the club as free agent.”

Improving

He wants to try and win the Champions League with the club, saying: “At Paris, everything is improving each season: the training centre, Parc des Princes, the team.

“The club shows it wants to become the greatest one. But it will become the greatest only when it wins the Champions League.

“The club gives everything to its players to win. It is up to us to match expectations on the pitch.”

Pastore feels like he is playing well after having a good pre-season preparation.

“I did the whole pre-season preparation and then I achieved good first performances, so I hope I have earned my position in the starting XI now.

“It is the very first time I made the whole pre-season preparation at PSG. Moreover mentally I changed a lot of things. I resumed with the idea to train very hard every day to earn my position in the team. I feel happy here.”
