Burkino Faso midfielder Charles Kabore will join Russian club Kuban Krasnodar from Marseille in a €2million deal in the next 24 hours.

The 25-year-old will sign a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League side after a six-year spell at the Stade Velodrome.

Kabore has made 23 starts for Marseille this season and was part of the Burkino Faso team that reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this month.

He said: "In football there is no surprise, there are only choices. No one forced me to leave. I won titles with l'OM, I spent six nice years [with them], but I had that opportunity [to leave].

"I have no regret. Krasnodar is a new challenge to me."

Kabore had been close to signing for Real Zaragoza in January.
