Veteran defender Sylvain Armand has picked out Lille duo Nolan Roux and Dmitri Payet as the men who stand between Paris Saint-Germain and another success this weekend.

PSG have begun to turn their big-spending into performances on the pitch, winning nine of their past 10 in an unbeaten run that has elevated them to the top of Ligue 1.

The capital club will be fully expected to extend that sequence at the Parc des Princes in Sunday's late game against an inconsistent Lille.

The 2010-11 French champions are languishing in mid-table and had to come from behind in midweek to beat fourth-tier side Plabennec 3-1 in the Coupe de France.

Despite that Armand is wary of dismissing Lille's threat.

PSG drew their previous home game 0-0 with lowly Ajaccio and with Roux and France international Payet in good form - their combined 13 goals is half of Lille's league total this season - Armand is preaching caution.

"We will have to be concentrated and focused if we want to continue our positive run of results," he said at a press conference on Friday.

"We require another win. It is the type of match that is not easy to negotiate.

"Lille may be less effective than in recent seasons but they can rely on very good individuals. I think especially Nolan Roux and Dimitri Payet who are in great shape now. Collectively LOSC remain a formidable team."

Roux has struck six league goals this term and was on target in midweek when he was partnered by Tulio De Melo.

De Melo has not been as prolific but after he completed the midweek scoring boss Rudi Garcia revealed he was likely to start the strike duo together on Sunday.

"I am satisfied with the pairing of Roux and De Melo up front, even if there is still work to do," he said after the Plabennec win.

"We saw how useful the presence of Tulio is, especially with the way he plays with his back to goal and his ability to dominate in the air. Nolan moved around him and offered penetration.

"We made a decision not to rotate the squad with one eye on our trip to Paris. In my opinion this was the best possible preparation.

"Everyone reckons we will lose at the Parc des Princes, so it is up to us to create an upset."
