Struggling Ligue 1 side Troyes have bolstered their defensive options by signing former St Etienne player Sylvain Monsoreau on a free transfer.
Monsoreau had been without a club since leaving St Etienne in the summer following four seasons at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
He has agreed a deal with Troyes until the end of the season and will help to shore up a defence that has been beset by injury problems in recent weeks.
Troyes have conceded 29 goals in 14 games in Ligue 1 this season and were hammered 4-0 by Paris St Germain over the weekend.
Jean-Marc Furlan's side have also won just once since winning promotion back to the top flight, although that was an impressive 1-0 home success over Marseille last month.
