Sochaux playmaker Thierry Doubai has revealed his devastation at the injury that promises to keep him out for a number of months.
Ivorian Doubai had made a fantastic start to the season, including an incredible overhead kick finish against St Etienne last month, but suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury in Sochaux's 1-0 home defeat by Rennes on Saturday.
The midfielder, who has made one appearance for his country, moved to the French club on a permanent deal from Italian side Udinese this summer after a successful loan deal at the club last season.
"I am very down at the moment," Doubai told skysports.com.
"My momentum for this season was fantastic until this injury.
"It will put me out for several months.
"Hopefully, I will come back soon and on my level."
Doubai's younger brother Pascal plays for Young Boys Bern of Switzerland.
