The son of former Danish superstar Michael Laudrup is out to prove a point as FC Nordsjaelland entertain European champions Chelsea.
Danish under 21 international Andreas Laudrup insists he is too young to remember his dad's exploits and is keen to make his own name in the game.
Andreas said: "I was probably a bit too young, but I used to stay up and watch the games.
"I cannot run from my last name, but it is important for me to prove to people that I am my own person."
Dad Michael, who played for Ajax and Barcelona during his career, does still have some role to play in his son's success.
Andreas added: "I ask my dad for advice because he has been in the game for so many years.
"But he says himself, just do what I feel is best."
Nordsjaelland are making their first appearance in the Champions League this season, something Andreas considers an honour.
He said: "It is an incredible honour to be playing in this competition. But it is important to believe it is possible to get points."
