Diego Lugano admits he is experiencing a difficult time at PSG, but insists he has no plans to push for a winter return to Fenerbahce.

Uruguayan defender rules out January return to Turkey

Diego Lugano admits he is experiencing a difficult time at Paris St Germain, but insists he is prepared to accept the decisions of the coaching staff. The Uruguayan defender joined the Ligue 1 giants over the summer, bringing to an end a five-year stint in Turkey with Fenerbahce. His career in France got off to a positive start, but he has found himself on the bench on an increasingly regular basis of late. Lugano admits he has found it difficult adapting to life in a new country, with the language barrier providing one sizeable hurdle to overcome. He is, however, aware that no-one is assured of a starting role and has offered no indication that he will be looking to move on during the winter window. "I have had difficulties with the language," said the 31-year-old, who is skipper of his country.

"I am using gestures, but the most important thing is behaviour. "When I came here I played a lot of matches in a short space of time. Then, with Mamadou Sakho returning, the club's captain and the big hope of French football, the coach decided to make some changes. "I have been on the bench a few times and I have also had knee trouble. There is no problem though. The coach is entitled to make his own choices." On reports suggesting he could return to Fenerbahce, Lugano added: "This is completely false. "It's absurd. I don't want to go back to Fenerbahce. "To say that I don't feel fine in Paris is a joke. At first it made me laugh, but then I was a little upset."
