Lille striker yet to pen contract extension

Moussa Sow is no closer to agreeing a new deal at Lille, with the striker revealing that extension talks have stalled. The reigning French champions have been locked in discussions with the Senegal international for some time. They first sat down over the summer, with the club keen to reward Sow for the 25 goals he contributed to their title-winning campaign. Lille have, however, been unable to reach an agreement with the 25-year-old.

No deal

Time is running out on a possible truce, with Sow set to become a free agent at the end of the season if fresh terms are not put in place. He has expressed a desire in the past to stay on with the Ligue 1 outfit, but admits that the current situation is doing neither side any favours. "Are extension talks finished? I don't know," Sow told L'Equipe. "The talks we have had didn't succeed, but I am not moaning. I remain the same and will put my ego to one side."
