Bordeaux midfielder Fernando has agreed to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al Shabab on a three-year contract.
The Ligue 1 club have confirmed that a deal has been struck and that the Brazilian is set to move on.
The versatile 30-year-old, who can operate as a holding midfielder or as a centre-half, leaves France after a six-year stint in Bordeaux.
He moved to Stade Chaban Delmas in 2005 having previously turned out for Juventude and Gremio in Brazil and Siena in Italy.
During his six seasons with Bordeaux he played 190 league games and scored 19 goals.
He helped the club to the French title in 2009 and the French League Cup in 2007 and 2009.
It is understood that Al Shabab have splashed out around €6million (£5.3m) to secure Fernando's services.
