Midfielder will not be staying with Sunderland

Sulley Muntari's agent has confirmed that he will not be back at Sunderland next season. The former Portsmouth man has been on-loan at the Stadium of Light since January, joining from Inter Milan. But now Sunderland have seemingly opted not to try and make the move permanent as he would be 'too expensive' for the Wearside club. "There is no chance at Sunderland for Sulley," Fabien Piveteau confirmed. "They have decided he is too expensive."

Mensah

Piveteau also represents John Mensah, also on loan at Sunderland from Lyon, but a permanent deal for him remains a possibility. "For John, there is a good chance (of signing)," he continued. "The situation with him is that if he played 25 games, he would definitely sign for Sunderland but he has only played 18 at the moment. "He has not played all of the games but this season it has not been the same type of injuries for John. "At the moment I think the results are the priority, but the coaches will talk with him soon about next season."
