Micola and Licka join Ligue 1 new boys

Tomas Micola and Mario Licka have become the first new additions to the fold at newly-promoted Brest. Brest will be hoping that strike ace Micola can provide a cutting edge, while former Southampton man Licka will be required to keep things ticking over in midfield. The pair have both arrived from Czech outfit FC Banik Ostrava, where they had become household names. Both men can also boast international experience with Czech Republic, at U21 and senior level, proving their worth at the very top of the game. That should stand them in good stead as they prepare to take on a fresh, and potentially tricky, challenge. Keeping Brest in Ligue 1 next season will be their number one priority, with the club looking to establish themselves as a top flight outfit. Micola, who at 21 years of age remains one for the future, has signed a four-year contract while Licka has penned a three-year deal.
