Promising frontman commits to reigning champions

Gregory Sertic has penned a new two-year contract at Bordeaux, tying him to the club until June 2014. The young forward has progressed through the youth ranks at Stade Chaban Delmas and is regarded as a hot prospect for the future. The 20-year-old made his first-team bow with Laurent Blanc's side in April 2009 and scored his first senior goal for the club on only his second appearance. Sertic becomes the seventh player to commit his future to the reigning Ligue 1 champions this season with Carlos Henrique, David Bellion, Lamine Sane, Fernando Menegazzo, Jussie and Matthieu Chalme having already signed up. The France Under 21 international is a graduate of the famed Clairefontaine Academy and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of former scholars such as Nicolas Anelka, Louis Saha, William Gallas and Thierry Henry.
