Montpellier defender agrees one-year extension

Nenad Dzodic has agreed a one-year contract extension with Ligue 1 high-flyers Montpellier. The Serbian defender's contract was set to expire at the end of the season and there had been speculation about his future. But Dzodic, 33, has now opted to stay with the club until at least the summer of 2011. The centre-back has spent 10 years with Montpellier over two separate spells and his performances this term have kept the club in touch with the leaders. Meanwhile, winter loan signing Garry Bocaly is facing a short spell on the sidelines with a broken hand. Bocaly, who arrived on a short-term deal from Marseille, is to undergo surgery on Tuesday.
