Mathieu Chalme has penned a two-year contract extension to keep him at Bordeaux until 2014.
The defender has established himself as an integral member of the side at Stade Chaban Delmas since his arrival from Lille in 2007.
His impressive performances at right-back helped Bordeaux win the Ligue 1 title last season and he has now been rewarded with a new deal.
Chalme's previous contract had not been set to expire until 2012 but he has now committed his long-term future to the club with an agreement that runs until he is 33.
Bordeaux have recently secured the services of other key players including Carlos Henrique, David Bellion, Lamine Sane, Fernando Menegazzo and Jussie.
