Marseille winger Hatem Ben Arfa has been handed a hefty fine for missing training.
The 22-year-old has ordered to pay €10,000 for failing to notify his officials of his pending absence earlier in the week.
Ben Arfa had joined family members in Tunisia following his performance in defeat to Monaco at the weekend.
He blamed airport delays for his slow return, saying: "They could not find my name on the computer."
He explained: "That kind of thing happens quite often."
Despite blaming airport check-in errors, he said: "The fine? It is logical, there is no trouble."
Marseille coach Didier Deschamps confirmed the action, saying: "He won't be reprimanded, but he will get a financial sanction.
"We're not talking about being a minute late, but missing an entire training session.
"There are officials to make that kind of decision. Absence during training is unacceptable."
