Eidur Gudjohnsen's father and agent insists the Barcelona man has received no offer from France.
The Icelandic legend is set to leave Camp Nou this summer after seeing his opportunities in Spain severely restricted during the 2008/09 campaign.
He has expressed an interest in a return to England, where he previously spent eight years taking in spells at Bolton and Chelsea.
The 30-year-old has refused to rule out a switch to any of Europe's top divisions, though, and it remains to be seen where he will start next season.
His representative, Arnor Gudjohnsen, claims there are many offers on the table to consider, but as yet no approach has been made by a Ligue 1 outfit.
"Eidur is seriously studying the possibility of a summer departure," he said in Aujourd'hui Sport.
"We have contacts with English clubs, but also with Greek, Turkish and Russian. We have not met with any French club yet.
"However, if a big club like Bordeaux, Lyon or Marseille show an interest, Eidur would obviously be attracted."
