Alou Diarra has admitted that he could be tempted by a new challenge away from Bordeaux this summer.
The France international has revealed that were he to receive a suitable offer he would be willing to walk away from Stade Chaban Delmas.
The 27-year-old is under contract with Bordeaux until 2011, but needs assurances that the club can match his ambitions.
Should the club fail to convince him that they are capable of challenging for honours at home and abroad, Diarra is prepared to turn his attention elsewhere.
"I still have two years remaining on my contract," he told L'Equipe.
"I have blossomed at Bordeuax, but if a more exciting challenge were to come along, I would think about it.
"It is important for me to be playing in the Champions League next season.
"There are still a lot of exciting things to experience at Bordeaux, and I must weigh up my options carefully, but the door is not closed."
