Lyon defender Anthony Reveillere has been ruled out for the rest of the season with ruptured knee ligaments.
The right-back pulled up while trying to make a tackle on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Stephane Sessegnon during Saturday's 1-0 defeat.
Reveillere underwent a scan on Monday and the analysis identified major damage which will sideline the 29-year-old until the summer.
In a statement on their official website, Lyon said: "The scan has confirmed a rupture of the ligament of the left knee of Anthony Reveillere.
"Consequently, his season is finished for Lyon."
The news comes as blow to the seven-time French champions, who are already without Mathieu Bodmer and Francois Clerc due to injury.
