Nigeria midfielder Sani Kaita has admitted his delight at joining Monaco before the summer transfer deadline. The 22-year-old left Sparta Rotterdam to sign a three-year deal at Louis II Stadium after impressing in Holland. Kaita represented Nigeria at the Beijing Olympics and has made eight appearances for his country. "I am happy to be able to sign in Monaco, it is a great moment for me," Kaita told Monaco's official website. Kaita joined Sparta in 2005 from Nigerian club Kano Pillars and went on to make 22 Eredivisie appearances.
