Lyon striker Milan Baros is on the brink of joining Turkish giants Galatasaray on a permanent deal.
Baros' future at Lyon has been unclear following Claude Puel's appointment as coach to replace Alain Perrin.
The Czech Republic striker was not in favour with Perrin last season and finished the campaign on loan at Portsmouth.
He was waiting to learn whether he would be involved in Puel's plans, but he has now been allowed to leave the French champions.
The former Liverpool and Aston Villa forward is currently in Istanbul to finalise his switch, with reports suggesting he will sign a three-year contract.
His agent Pavel Paska told Denik Sport: "We are still ironing out the last details, but you can already write - Milan Baros is a player of Galatasaray."
Real Betis and Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad had also shown interest in Baros, but he has opted for the prospect of UEFA Champions League football with Galatasaray.
The Turks are hoping to reach the group phase and face Steaua Bucharest away in the second leg of their qualifier on Wednesday, with the tie poised at 2-2 from the first leg.
