Djibril Cisse's agent has claimed the Marseille striker has no intention of joining Roma.
Cisse has been linked with a transfer away from the Stade Velodrome this summer, just 12 months after signing for the club on a permanent basis from Liverpool.
Recent reports have emerged claiming Roma were lining up an offer for the France international's services as coach Luciano Spalletti looks to bolster his front line ahead of the new Serie A season.
However, Cisse's agent, Ranko Stojic, has insisted the 26-year-old is not set for Italy, amid rumours that he is keen to move back to the Premier League as his wife still lives in England.
"First of all Cisse doesn't want to go to Italy," agent Stojic told Laromasiamonoi.it.
"Secondly, I haven't had any contact with the Giallorossi regarding Cisse.
"I know where these stories come from - the player's brother talks too much without any authority.
"Roma isn't an option that interests Cisse and I have no meeting with them scheduled."
