Moussa Sissoko has signed a two-year contract extension with Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
The teenage midfielder will now remain with the French outfit until at least 2012.
Despite having made only 22 appearances for the club, in which he has scored one goal, the 18-year-old has been rewarded for his transformation into a mature and consistent performer.
He arrived at Toulouse in 2006 and is considered one of his country's rising stars, having already represented the French Under 19 side.
Portsmouth were rumoured to have expressed an interest in the youngster earlier in the summer, but he will be heading nowhere now that he has committed his future to his current employers.
