Real Betis have completed the €7million (£5.5m) signing of Achille Emana from Toulouse.
The Cameroon international midfielder has been a reported target of Newcastle and West Ham, but he has instead opted to agree a five-year deal with La Liga outfit Betis.
Toulouse turned down two initial bids from Betis, but they have now accepted an offer after Emana, who was under contract until 2011, made it clear he wanted to move on.
The 26-year-old had spent the last seven years in Toulouse, but he recently announced he needed to 'boost' his career.
Emana passed his medical and will join his team in training on Tuesday before being presented later this week.
