Toulouse left-back Jeremy Mathieu has admitted he is desperate to secure a move to Roma.
The 24-year-old, who can also operate as a wing-back, has one more year to run on his contract at Toulouse but, after making contact with the Serie A side, is eager to seal a move as soon as possible.
"It's not news," he told Corriere dello Sport. "Roma have been following me for quite a long time and I've already spoken with someone.
"Honestly, I must say that three other sides have asked about me. I don't want to offend them, but Roma are Roma.
"The Italian league is fascinating and Roma are a big club at the top of European football.
"Should they ask me, I will reply positively.
"I would like it if my future could be decided before 26th June when Toulouse begin pre-season training."
