Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has reaffirmed Karim Benzema's commitment to the Ligue 1 champions.
Benzema had been strongly linked with a summer transfer to Manchester United following praise from manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
But, on Wednesday, the France international moved to quash rumours of a move, insisting that he plans to stay at Stade Gerland for at least another season.
And Aulas has echoed the forward's comments, while expressing his excitement at what the future holds for Lyon.
"At Lyon. He is going to stay, he has confirmed that to me himself," Aulas said in L'Est Republicain
"We are going to keep Benzema next year so we can continue to progress. With Karim and also Hatem Ben Arfa, there is a lot of youth in our team.
"It all seems very promising for us."
