Marseille threw away a two-goal lead as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Nancy.

Mamadou Niang gave Marseille the lead on 22 minutes and Djibril Cisse doubled the advantage seven minutes after the break.

Benjamin Gavanon pulled a goal back for Nancy on 64 minutes when converting from the penalty spot and Youssouf Hadji earned the visitors a point with an equaliser ten minutes from time.

The draw was good enough to send Nancy to the top of the table, while Marseille are still looking for their first win of the season.

Jimmy Briand's late goal earned Rennes a 1-1 draw with Nice.

Bakary Kone gave Nice the lead on 26 minutes and it looked like being enough for all three points until Briand popped up four minutes from time with the equaliser.

Lens are still looking for their first win of the season after being held to a goalless draw at home to Valenciennes.

Guy Roux's side sit in 18th spot in the table with two points from three games.
