Sylvain Wiltord will not be leaving Lyon in the current transfer window, according to the French champions' sporting director Bernard Lacombe.
The former-Arsenal striker had been linked with a move to Rennes after an unproductive campaign last season, but they shelved their plans for a move for the 33-year-old.
Lacombe has since said that the France international will not be leaving, as there is too little time to draft in a replacement.
Lacombe said: "He's going to stay here.
"There are just two weeks left in the transfer window and it would be hard to find a player of Wiltord's quality.
"If he were to leave, his only desire would be to go to Paris Saint-Germain."
