Rennes midfielder Bruno Cheyrou is reportedly the target of several other clubs.
Cheyrou took on the role of captain for the opening game of the season against Nancy and is one of the key members of coach Pierre Dreossi's side.
But the former Lille and Liverpool player is rumoured to be attracting the interest of Valencia and Ligue 1 rivals Monaco.
The 29-year-old could be a solution for the Spanish team, who failed to land the services of Kim Kallstrom recently.
