Nancy defender Pape Diakhate has turned down a move to Bordeaux and signed for Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev.
The highly-rated Senegal defender was being chased by a number of clubs from around Europe, but he has opted for a move to Ukraine.
The 23-year-old had the chance to switch to Bordeaux but he shunned the chance to remain in France.
"After a weekend of reflection, the Senegal international made the choice to join Dynamo Kiev and has signed a contract," said a statement on Nancy's website.
One player who did not turn Bordeaux down is David Bellion, who revealed his delight at signing for the club.
"I had foreign offers, but I refused them," said Bellion.
"Coming to Bordeaux was my choice. I felt it was the best thing and I could not refuse. The other clubs didn't matter. Bordeaux is a good club."
