Dunfermline took the spoils in the Fife derby as Andy Geggan's goal earned a 1-0 victory over Raith Rovers.
Ryan Wallace had the best chance of the opening half at East End Park when he beat Ross Laidlaw but his net-bound finish was cleared by Dougie Hill's diving header.
Shortly after the restart Rovers had a penalty appeal turned down when Brian Graham met a corner and the ball was scrambled off the line, with the visitors claiming handball against Wallace.
But the breakthrough came with just under 20 minutes remaining as Shaun Byrne delivered a cross to the near post and Geggan pounced to head home.
Dunfermline could have doubled their advance four minutes from time when Joe Cardle set up Jason Thomson, but he shot past the post.
