Dunfermline have handed trials to Premiership youngsters Neale McDermott and Calum Woods.
Twenty-one-year-old midfielder McDermott (pictured), the son of former Celtic coach and Liverpool player Terry, was released by Fulham at the end of last season.
He started out at Newcastle United, but has struggled to establish himself in the English top flight and was loaned out to Swindon Town and Darlington last term.
Both he and ex-Liverpool defender Woods, 19, have three-week trials at East End Park lined up and Pars boss Jim Leishman is hopeful they have what it takes to make it in the Scottish Premier League.
"This is an opportunity for both lads to show what they can do," Leishman told the Daily Record.
"When you look at the teams they have been with they have an excellent football education."
