Dunfermline have been cleared to snap up Macedonian star Georgi Hristov after the striker was granted a work permit on appeal.
The 28-year-old is expected to sign a six-month deal with The Pars - after proving his fitness in a trial spell at the club.
The forward has been out for almost two years with a knee ligament injury, but is keen to show his worth and feels Dunfermline will showcase his talents.
Hristov's original work permit was rejected due to the player not registering the required amount of games for his nation.
Dunfermline's appeal pointed out that the player was the nation's top goalscorer, third most capped player and only his injury had kept him out of contention.
Hristov has been playing his football in Holland for NEC Nijmegen and FC Zwolle, but his injury has blighted his recent career.
